while Ajeet Singh and Jayaprada were in the race for Ralod and Praful Patel was for NCP in the race for elections today on 10th April, 2014.
And today is the day when Mr. Narendra Modi has already filed his nomination for the election from Vadodara, Gujarat. As we all know that Mr. Narendra Modi started his political career from Vadodara. Today tha prodigal son returns home. It was a massive road show as if the Indian cricket team has won the world cup abroad and has just landed on indian soil. This drive started from Kirti Stambh and was down all the way at district collector's office after a four km rally. He waved at the crowed from an open jeep like a celebrity. And thousands of policemen were on duty as security as if he was already a Prime Minister. At the collect-orate, Kiran Mahida, a Chay-vala (tea seller) proposed Mr Modi's candidacy. As did Shubhanginidevi Raje-Gaekwad, an erstwhile royal. This shows the popularity of Na.Mo among Gujarati people.

"Mr Modi has decimated the difference between royalty and a humble man like me," Kiran Mahida said. ", these are the words of Kiran Mahida himself.
Vadodara is a stronghold for BJP. It won 2009 elections by over 1.5 lakh votes.
Six of the seven assembly segments in Vadodara are held by the BJP. The seventh was won by an Independent, who soon joined the BJP. So it seems very easy for him to win in Vadodara. Let's see what happens on 30th april, the election day in vadodara. Besides, Mr. Modi is also fighting from Varanasi Uttar-pradesh for another seat.
